San Jose, CA., December 26, 2006— AscenVision Technology Inc., the intelligent network provider, today announced that the Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) has awarded Wireless@SG contract to the leading wireless ISPs (WISP) – iCELL Network Pte Ltd, one of the 3 wireless operators selected. Wireless@SG is a nation-wide government’s wireless broadband programme to provide free Wi-Fi access to all Singapore residents and overseas visitors. iCELL Network is collaborating closely with Ascenvision’s regional Distributor – D-Synergy to tap onto their strong value-added support structure to roll out the AscenLink bandwidth load-balancer in its wireless backhaul infrastructure.Based on the mission to deliver quality of service and a highly resilient wireless network, iCELL Network has specifically chosen the industry-renowned WAN link load balancer – AscenLink to be deployed backend at its multiple gateways to achieve absolute network availability with maximum performance. iCELL Network also incorporates AscenLink to offer fault tolerance, high availability (HA), and effective bandwidth management of fixed WAN links in the entire backhaul network. Users with a wide variety of communication devices such as PCs, laptops, PDAs, and even mobile phones, therefore, can enjoy nonstop, FREE high-speed wireless broadband anytime, anywhere in Singapore.
